How to Make Wholesale Towels Last Longer

Wash With Similar Colors

When you wash your towels, be sure to wash with like colors. White towels and colored towels have slightly different washing requirements. When you wash them separately, you should wash them using the right settings on your washing machine and dryer. Wash towels of like colors in warm water. They don't have to all be the exact same color — as long as they're similar, they'll be just fine. To get your white towels as clean as possible, wash them in hot water.

If you need or want to get a deeper clean, you should use something besides your regular laundry detergent. When you're washing your colored towels, use a color-safe bleach to really get the towels clean. For your white towels, use a non-chlorine bleach to get that same level of clean. These cleaning methods will give your towels a deeper clean if they face frequent use.

Make Sure They Dry Completely

When towels get wet and don't dry completely, they can get musty and grow mildew. When you're drying your towels, make sure they're completely dry when you take them out of the dryer. Even though they're clean, they can still grow mildew if they're even a little bit damp.

But, on the flip side, you should also avoid over drying. When you put too much stress on the towels in the dryer, it can break down the fibers and shorten their lifespan. Putting your towels in the dryer for too long or at too high heat may seem to dry them better, but it will do more damage than good.

Wash Them Before Using for the First Time

After you receive your order of wholesale towels, it can be tempting to start using them right away. But when towels are manufactured, they are given a finish, like silicone. This finish makes them less absorbent, so they aren't as effective when you first receive them. You can remove this finish with the first wash, which will leave your towels as absorbent as they should be.
